FSNotes 4.2.4 is a modern notes manager on steroids for macOS and iOS and is a modern reinvention of notational velocity (nvALT) on steroids. Application respects open formats: plain/text, markdown, rtf, and stores data in file system. You can view, edit, copy data in a favourite external editor and see live results in FSNotes. To be more precise, each FSNotes feature has a pre-defined keyboard shortcut, a fact that makes it one of the fastest ways to manage large groups of notes using a Mac.

The FSNotes user interface comes with a vertical and horizontal layout, both consisting of an editing area, a top search field, and a note list board to quickly browse your notes.

Unfortunately, during our tests, we noticed that when switching to landscape layout, FSNotes are very accurate when it comes to letting you display the contents of your notes, with the editing area completely disappearing. The only solution we found to recover was uninstalling FSNotes and selecting the Notes database folder to recover our notes.
